1. What information does the band require in order to accumulate my quote?

The band would preferably require the following information in order to accumulate the precise quote for you.

  • Date of your event.
  • Location of your venue.
  • How long you would require the band to play for.
  • If you wish to choose one of the bands packages.
  • If there is any special requirements you desire.

2. How do I book the band & what happens after I have made my booking?

You can make a booking simply by telephone or email, Imitation would then be able to obtain all the information required in order to calculate a quote for your event.

A promotional pack would then be sent to you, which will contain all the necessary forms, some of which need to be returned in order to complete your booking.
Once the arrangements have been confirmed, a contract will be prepared and two copies will be sent to you. We ask that you sign both copies of the contract returning one copy to the band's business address. Imitation asks for a 20% deposit payable by cheque at the time of signing the contract, for which a receipt will be issued. The remainder of the balance would then be payable in cash on the day of the event.


3. Where is the band based and how far will
they travel?

The band is based in the South East of England, but is willing to travel anywhere in mainland UK. However, this may be subject to an additional travel fee.
4. Can the band play our first dance song?


Absolutely! The band would need to know your first dance song at the time of booking. If you cannot see your song on their repertoire list, don’t worry! The band has a huge back catalogue of songs which is constantly updated.
5. Does the band do requests?


Of course! The band is open to requests at the time of booking, ensuring that they play some of your absolute favourites on the day. Unfortunately, no songs can be requested on the day of your event.


6. Can I see the band play before my event?


Most certainty! You can arrange to see the band via Email or Phone . They would then book a date, time and venue that is good for you!
7. How long does the band require setting up,
sound checking & de-rigging?

An ideal set up and sound check time is 1.5 hours, depending on the venue and its access. A sound check will take no longer than 20 minutes and de-rigging only takes 30 minutes.
8. How much space does the band require?


With regards to performance space, Imitation would preferably require an area 15ft x 10ft. The band's equipment is designed to fit in smaller spaces and venues of all shapes and sizes however it does help to have some leg room for a greater performance!


9. Is the band's equipment PAT tested and
 are they fully insured?

Yes. All of Imitations equipment is PAT tested and they hold up to £10 Million public liability cover.
10. How loud is the band?


Imitation understands that you and your guests want to be able to talk to each other without having to shout. Therefore, they play at a volume that they feel is suitable for you and your guests.
11. Are there long gaps between the songs
 when the band is playing live?

You can expect the band to keep the music going all night. With clever crafted medleys to join songs together there is a constant flow of music throughout the night. With Imitation playing an excess of 60 songs at any event, Imitation guarantees the dance floor is full all night!



12. How far in advance should I book?


The sooner the better is the truthful answer. To be as fair as possible, they work on a first come first served policy.
13. What are the band's stage and electricity
requirements?

Imitation can perform with or without staging. They are happy to play either inside or outside events, as long as they are covered. The area in which they are performing music be level, dry and free from obstacles such as fire exits etc. They require at least four power sockets to power their PA, lighting and equipment.
14. Can the band provide pre recorded music
when they’re not playing?

Yes Imitation has a selection of mp3’s which will be played when no live music is being performed. Imitation are also more than happy for you to provide your own mp3 player with your own music, if you let them know at the time of booking.
